On July 10, 2004 Terry, Darlene, Michelle, Dave, and Ashley went to the Bristol Renaissance Faire just over the border in Wisconsin. It was a hot humid day in the eighties with the sun shining high in the shire. The family went in renaissance garb as did Dave, Michelle’s boyfriend.
Ashley, our neighbors George and Antoinette’s daughter, at the beginning of the day was not, but that was quickly remedied at costume rental shop, Wizard’s Wardrobe. We also saw Magnificent Moonie, where the performer does not say one word, but still makes his audience laugh for forty-five minutes. Terry acquired a new sword and dagger while the "kids" went on a few rides made more entertaining by Michelle trying to get in and out with a hoop skirt. Dave and Ashley went for a ride on an elephant with Michelle watching because of hoop skirt issues. Afterwards we all went to the new town square that the faire just built so we could party like it was 1599. The day ended on a good note with the 3:00 joust when we rooted for Sir Amadeo (Rock on Amadeo!) who promised three things: Blood, Chaos, and Victory. With all the smiling faces it was indeed a victorious day.

edit: by admin,
Michelle dropped off a picture CD for Ashley today. It seems that she had a great time and can't wait to go again. It was great seeing the place through the eyes of a 12 year old. |
